We use online surveys in order to collect data from a population sample which is of great interest to us (e.g. our current or potential clients).
Since it will be impossible to survey the entire population (of pet owners in the US) due to technical restrictions, cost, and time, we can collect data by running a survey on a sample – a carefully selected subgroup of the population we want to target.
